Fall Orchestra Concert, Thu Oct 19th

Note from the Orchestra Director
 Dear Parents,

We are very excited about our Fall Orchestra Concert, our opening concert this season!  The orchestras will be presenting works of Benjamin Britten, Arcangelo Corelli, Saint-Saens, and more.  In preparation, we have 2 more after school rehearsals in order to prepare and stage the last piece on the concert.  This week’s rehearsal will be on Thursday from 11:30-1:30 in the Lassiter Concert Hall.  We’ll eat first and are asking students tomorrow to turn in $3 for pizza (Peace, Love, and Pizza!).  We understand transportation could be an issue, so please try to arrange a ride home with another family, in case you are unable to pick up your son or daughter.  There will be adult supervision until 4pm that day.  Final rehearsal is Wednesday (10/18) 4-5:30.  Please email the directors if your son/ daughter has a conflict.

Sincerely,
Carol Doemel

Thank you, Orchestra Donors!

Thank you to all the families who either met their minimum share of programming at the Bronze Level; or donated a bit more at the Silver, Gold, or Platinum Levels, which has enabled us to go “above and beyond” with both programming and equipment purchases, amongst other things our directors want to ensure orchestra is a special experience for your students.  I would also like to thank those families who donated as a “Friend of the Orchestra”, having donated at other levels in recognition of both your student and the goals of the LHSOA – thank you!

All families who donated at the Gold Level or higher, or who volunteer their time as a Board Member or Committee Chair, should have received an email with instructions on how to reserve your seats for the upcoming concert season.  If you are a premium donor and did not receive an email, please contact me ASAP at president@lhsoa.org.

It’s not too late!  If you would like to make either a premium or Friend of the Orchestra tax-deductible donation, please visit our website: https://lhsoa.org/for-parents-and-students/registration.  Premium donors will receive benefits as advertised, and all donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes upon request.

Tuxedo Package

Our first concert in formal attire is on October 19th. To be ready for the Fall Concert, please ensure that your student’s uniform is ordered as soon as possible. The Tuxedo Wholesaler website currently indicates 4 weeks processing and shipping for the girl’s gown.  The boy’s tuxedo takes 4 days to process and another 2-5 days to ship. Once you receive the uniform, it would also require hemming. Place your order early so there’s ample time for your student’s uniform to be performance-ready for the Fall Concert. We can’t wait to see all our musicians looking confident and sharp in their formal attire!

Order online at www.tuxedowholesaler.com.
Easy, interactive measuring instructions are provided.
